1. Quarry Plant Operations Management
- Supervise the day-to-day operations of the quarry, ensuring smooth functioning of plant machinery and all production activities, including blasting, rock haulage, loading, and sales.
- Coordinate and manage all repairs and maintenance to minimize downtime, and ensure timely procurement of spare parts and consumables.
- Oversee general logistics such as ration arrangements for on-site staff.
2. Production Planning and Execution
- Develop periodic production plans, monitor progress, and adjust activities as needed to meet production targets.
- Ensure timely and efficient execution of production activities to maintain consistent output quality and quantity.
3. Cost Control and Optimization
- Monitor and control operational costs, striving to maintain cost-effective production by introducing efficiency measures.
- Optimize unit production costs and implement cost-saving strategies to support profitability goals.
4. Safety and Health Compliance
- Enforce safety protocols and health standards to maintain a secure environment for all quarry personnel.
- Regularly inspect the worksite to identify and address any potential safety or environmental hazards, ensuring compliance with regulatory guidelines.
5. Administrative Oversight and Reporting
- Perform administrative tasks related to quarry operations, including regular stock takes, inventory management, and activity reporting.
- Prepare and submit reports on production metrics, operational costs, and other key performance indicators as required by management.
6. Team Management and Interpersonal Skills
- Lead, supervise, and mentor a team of quarry workers, fostering a productive and cooperative work environment.
- Develop efficient manpower schedules and arrangements to ensure adequate coverage and effective staff utilization.

Job Requirements
1. Education and Experience
- Bachelor’s degree in Mining Engineering, Geology, Civil Engineering, or a related field.
2. Languages
- Proficiency in Bahasa Malaysia, Bahasa Indonesia, Chinese, and English for effective communication with the diverse workforce and management.
3. Experience
- Minimum of 3-5 years of relevant experience in the quarry industry or related fields, ideally in a managerial or supervisory capacity.
- Previous experience in manufacturing or production operations, with a focus on optimizing processes and meeting production targets.
4. Licenses and Certifications
- A Blasting License recognized by the Department of Mineral and Geoscience Malaysia (JMG) is highly desirable, as it enables direct oversight of blasting activities within the quarry.
5. Skills and Competencies
- Strong organizational, interpersonal, and management skills, with the ability to handle manpower arrangements and maintain effective team dynamics.
- Self-motivated, honest, hardworking, and open to continuous learning and improvement.
- Ability to work independently and manage responsibilities autonomously while also integrating well with the larger team.
6. Availability and Commitment
- Willingness to work in Tatau area and based full-time on-site at the quarry.
- Adaptable to extended hours as required by the operational demands of the quarry site.
